I'm new to Clipperz, so apologies for this basic question.

I've forgotten my passphrase, but I've used a one-time passphrase to
login.

I now want a new passphrase, but I can't do this without knowing the
old one.

Am I doomed forever to using the one-time system?

Thanks.

Have you tried using the "Export" option under "Data"? You should be
able to export everything and then import into a new account.

Hello Boswell,

the application does not allow you to change your passphrase if you
don't know your previous one.
Adam suggestion to dump all your data with the export to create a new
account later on is the best option that you have, if you are loggedin
with an OTP, but do not remember the passphrase.

Thanks, Adam, good idea. I'll give it a go.

I've recently come to realise just how handy these one-time passwords
(OTPs) are. I've added a card with my clipperz password to clipperz
and printed out a set of OTPs. That way if I change my clipperz
password (and update the card accordingly) and I forget my password, I
can use a OTP and recover it.
