Hi
Great service and great security.

I have a functionality suggestion.
As you add more and more cards I think it would be nice to have a way
of organize them.
Of cause your can just make longer names of the cards like "Daily. E-
mail. Yahoo ..." or "Service. Documents. PDF ..." but still you are
stucked with a long list of cars. It would be nice to be able to
organize the cards into folders or tags.

Best regards

Hello PC (?! :)

you may try using the /gamma version:

You can not organize your cards, but you can search them very quickly.

/gamma is still not feature complete, but still very usable and
reliable. And if you need some of the missing features, just log back
using /beta and you are set to go.

Hope this helps.

And while there is no formal organisation facility, I tag them in the
title, e.g. #bank for bank accounts, #shopping for stores etc. Then
using the gamma version I can very quickly limit the cards to those
that match the tag.

Hello all,

please, give /gamma search a try; the search feature is so convenient
that I really stop missing any tagging/folder option:

You can use your regular credentials, as /beta and /gamma share the same DB.

Hello Mark,

search on the full card content is not going to happen for the
foreseeable future.

Technically, the search works on all the data stored in the "card
index"; this is the content initially decrypted to render the UI; card
details are decrypted only when you access their content, in order to
optimize the execution of the quite expensive decryption operation.

In order to search on the full content, you would need to have the
full content decrypted beforehand (very expensive), or having an index
of the clear text (very insecure). There are some interesting
researches on how to create an encrypted index, that would allow to
find documents matching a query without leaking useful information
about neither document content nor the query, but they are still very
rough.

Sorry, but for the time being you will be able to search on card and
direct login titles.

Giulio Cesare

Would really love to have the search feature on the community edition as well.

Thanks

I found out about the gamma version in the forum and I really appreciate the search, great work there!
It would be nice to have a way to organize/remember my tags.

Thanks for a great piece of software :)

Hello Nishad,

the code for the /gamma version is already in GitHub [1].
Also the PHP backend has been updated to handle the now unified way /beta and /gamma submit requests.

Unfortunately we don't have enough resources to fully support the Community Edition, the "community" will have to take care of keeping the PHP backend working and possibly also provide packaged versions.

We will keep the client side code open and timely available, as our current release procedure require us to publish the code to GitHub to be completed (because we include the actual revision hash code into the application itself, as a close proxy to code signing).

Best regards,

Giulio Cesare
