Florence Ntakarutimana from Burundi will
be in Peterborough for a short visit. She will speak about her work
in healing from trauma, a program she runs for the African Great
Lakes Initiative (AGLI). A survivor herself of trauma, Florence deals
often with cases where people need to live closely with neighbours
who have hurt or killed members of one anothers' families.

Florence is the co-author of "Now I Am Human: Testimonies from the
Healing Companions Program in Rwanda and Burundi." This can be found
on the AGLI website, <http://www.aglionline.org>www.aglionline.org.

The visit is sponsored by Peterborough Allowed Meeting of the
Religious Society of Friends. The Friends invite anyone interested to
attend the talk, to give you an opportunity to meet Florence and hear
of her work with trauma, conflict resolution, and addressing HIV/AIDS.

2. Thursday, October 22, at 7pm in the Junior Common Room at Traill
College, Scott House.

and
political interests?  Who are their national and international
supporters?
What is the state of militarization and repression in Honduras?
Who is President Zelaya?  What were the policies and programs of his
government that
so angered the coup plottters?
Who are the people and organizations that comprise the “National
Front
Against the Coup” that is leading the pro-democracy movement? What
