Please join us for the following upcoming events:

Friday, November 20th:
20th Anniversary Celebration & Annual General Meeting of the Kawartha World Issues Centre

6:30 pm (Doors open at 6pm)

Upstairs in the Sadleir House Dining Hall
751 George Street North on the George Street Bus Route

Featuring A Special Presentation of Nogojiwanong ~ Watershed Ed. Project.

Nogojiwanong is an interactive watershed education presentation which uses music, puppets and a beautiful replica of the Otonabee to create dialogue about the importance
of water as a vital natural resource to all living creatures.

Nogojiwanong is a collaboration of KWIC and the Paddling Puppeteers, and funded by
RBC Blue Water Community Action Grants.

Please join us for an evening of celebration, music and fun! Bring your favourite KWIC story.
A cash bar will be offered.

Thursday, November 26th:
November World Issues Discussion Series: "Water ~ From Source to Sink"

7:00 p.m.at the Market Hall.

A free presentation with guest speaker Richard Nancarrow, founder of Nancarrow Associates Environmental Services and co-creator of Earth Keeper Environmental Training Programs. Richard will explore the intricate process involved in our drinking water.

Saturday, November 28th:
Popular Education 101 with Seeds for Justice

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Bridge, 256 Brock Street

A participatory workshop exploring methodologies of popular education and its relevance to facilitation.

Friday, December 4th:
Canada World Youth Farewell Fundraising Dinner

6:30 p.m. at Third Space, 400 Wolfe Street

The Peterborough-Tanzania Canada World Youth volunteers will be leaving Peterborough after a three-month stay, and heading to Tanzania on December 9th.

Please join the Canada World Youth team and community volunteers in saying their farewells for a fundraising event including a light dinner, Tanzanian fashion show, slide show, musical entertainment, 50/50 draw, and silent auction. Funds raised will be donated to the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre and the Yatima Group Trust Fund, an orphanage in Tanzania.
