Senior Product Test Engineer
- Evidence of personal and professional energy and excellence.
- BSEE or BS in Software Engineering or Equivalent.
- 7 - 12 years related experience.
- Experience with product functional and hardware compatibility testing.
- Experience with software and test automation scripting language and tools.
- Experience testing in a Linux environment.
- Experience operating ISV Backup Applications.
- Experience with networking protocols.
- Technical written and verbal communication skills both internal and external to the company.
- Must be highly motivated and able to participate as part of a team as well as on their own.
- Experience interfacing with storage peripheral products (i.e. tape drives, disk arrays, storage appliances).
- Experience with storage and/or management protocols (SCSI, FC, SNMP, SMI-S).
- Experience with SAN devices (FC HBAs, FC Switches, FC Analyzers).
- Knowledge of additional operating systems (Win2003, Win2008, Solaris, HPUX).
- Experience with software and test automation scripting language and tools.
- Ability to work with other technical individuals in achieving test plan goals.
- Must be able to instruct, guide, negotiate, coordinate, analyze and organize.
- Must interact with others in a team environment and also work alone.
- Must complete tasks on time with and without supervision.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others can understand.
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results.
- Ability to apply general rules or principles to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
