Hay Folks,

We left off with loading the mid-rear on film so to continue... Now that it is supposed to get cold I started a couple cans of charcoal inside the chamber to finish drying the shelf wadding and any residual moisture in the pots, though I don't think there is much because they dry in my rafters to at least 20% (that's as low as the tester goes)...

The next bit should be the start of loading the Mid-front part 1 but youtube must have been doing maintenance and it got hung up in processing for 2 days so I deleted it and will try that one again later. That really doesn't matter because part 2 first gets it out of the way and 1,3,4,.... will be in continuity. Wanting to be a potter like I saw in the books I carried my pots to the kiln on a board as many at a time as I could and caused myself pointless anxiety so I changed the way I do that and have risk less in transport damage...

... and when it was dribbling rain out I could still load a few with the lid on and nothing gets wet.

In real time I think I have made enough to finish the mid-front...

... and I found a spot to try a bottle in a bowl with those spirial sea shells...

Looks like the nights will finally stay below freezing so when this small batch is glazed I'll pre-heat chamber with a fire in the pignose to 150º or so, load them, brick the door back, and leave it till I get the last couple front shelves done. There is no point breaking my neck to fire before Christmas but it would be kinda neat to fire on New Years Eve. We'll see what we will see so stay in there eh!
