First, the critics' top 10 albums of 2009 - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8431676.stm. Looks like it is the usual load of old toss we've come to experts from so-called experts in the music industry.

Second, a piece on Status Quo being named the hardest working band in British music by the PRS - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8432278.stm.

Top 10 albums?
I for one have never heard of any of them. This time next year no one
will have any recollection of them either. That is unless they get
headlining slots at all those awful festivals (Glastonbury, Download
etc) where you cannot see the stage for stupid flags and the fat arse
of the girl on the skinny guy’s shoulders. This will be my last rant
of the year, so bring on 2010.

Pretty soon we will all be voting for our top 10 classic rock albums
so I will get the ball rolling with contender no 1……. Babylon by
W.A.S.P.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a superb New Year and the
best of luck in 2010

I've never heard of any of them either Fred, though I'm wondering if
number 5 in the list could be a sign to me?!? Grizzly Bear indeed...
