Dear all,

I was as shocked as anyone to hear this news and called up Trevor
White for the inside info.
The station has been put up for sale and has to close in 6 weeks.
The staff are hugely disappointed and are hoping that a new buyer
comes along to keep the station alive.
It's been going from strength to strength in recent months and had
made healthy gains on every station survey taken in that time.
The reason this is happening is not due to Planet Rock but rather the
financial state of the parent company who want to divest themselves
of a number of stations.

I think it's a great station and would be a sad loss at a time when
Classic Rock is making a comeback.
I think it's worth making a noise about and so does Trevor! I'd like
to start a save Planet Rock campaign beginning here at The Company.

I'd like you to write to your local newspapers and magazines, write
to your MP and urge them to save our Planet Rock!!
Contact radio stations and get this out into the open. Let there
still be rock!!! :-)

Save our Planet Rock!!!

love

I just recently bought the Pure Highway for my car. We have 3 DAB
radios in our house (one of which is the Marshall DAB).

I would recommend dropping in to the Planet Rock forums. There is a
lot going on in there just now and the listeners are trying to come up
with viable ways to help.

The more support they get the better. Various Save Planet Rock groups
are also popping up all over Facebook.

I know one thing is for sure. The listeners won't let it go without a
fight.

Hiya,

OH !!!!!!!!! I've been drooling over the Marshall DAB for *months*. That's
why I wanted it in the 1st place -- to listen to Planet Rock [ & Bruce
Dickinson's 6Music show, of course, I could listen to him *all day*].

Now I find PR is going, so I wonder whether I should bother with one ??
