Greetings CKI Sub-region F!

One great thing about the Kiwanis Family experience is the unique opportunity to get to learn, grow, and serve with different kinds of individuals from all different age ranges, cultures, and more. See below for information regarding Aktion Club and one of their signature projects called Sleeping Children Around the World. It is a great project for your club to consider when planning your Fall Projects and Kiwanis Family Relations activities.

About Sleeping Children Around the World:
Sleeping Children Around the World was founded in 1970 by the late Murray Dryden and his wife, Margaret. Murray's hobby of photographing sleeping children (his own and those of friends) gave rise to the idea of a retirement project. He and Margaret decided to provide bed kits to 50 children in India in 1970. The concept grew and eventually became the focus of their lives. Though many children in developed countries have needs, SCAW's mandate is to assist children in developing countries.

What's in a bed kit?
Each US$30 donation provides a bed kit that includes:
‧ Mat or mattress
‧ Pillow
‧ Sheet
‧ Blanket
‧ Mosquito net (if applicable)
‧ Clothes outfit
‧ Towel
‧ School supplies
