On behalf of UNDP, the Government of Brazil and the global facilitators: Professors John Field, Landim Dominguez and Yoshimi Suenaga, it is my pleasure to invite you to participate in the Rio+20 Sustainable Development Dialogue on Oceans.   This is an opportunity to raise the profile of oceans issues in the Rio+20 process and to contribute specific recommendations to the heads of state. Facilitators from international academic and research institutions are leading online discussions on 10 themes at the heart of sustainable development. The top recommendations will be presented at the Sustainable Development Dialogues event and to the Heads of State and Government at Rio+20.   This is a unique opportunity for civil society, youth, academia, local governments, and the private sector to engage in the Rio+20 Conference.
