I'm a sailor only for a few years now. My husband and I sail on the
bay in our Santana 22 and belong to a sailing club in Sausalito. I was
surprised to see that there was no sailing team or even a club. So we
can at the very least get together and discuss sailing trips. I know
that my boat would be a good learning vessel.

Anyways, I thought I'd see if there was any interest and I'm
considering starting this club.

sailing up and down the coast. We have great interest in a sailing

I am a senior crew member in a Sea Scout Ship (Corsair, based at the
north end of Van Ness, across from Hyde St. Pier), and so have a few
years of experience sailing, including teaching younger members. I
would be very interested in a sailing club, although it would depend
on the day of the week (we have activities most Sat).

It sounds like we have enough interest that a club could be formed
(and a boat that maybe can be used for the club).In fact if everyone
here would be committed enough, it would only take this many people,
and there surely are more people out there who are interested. It also
sounds like we have enough people who have at least some idea of what
there doing in order to not get into too much of a mess.
