SteelVis version 8.0

Version 8.0 of SteelVis, the NIST CIS/2 to VRML and IFC Translator is
now available.

The major improvement is that the translator is now 10-15% faster.

If you're a current user, in SteelVis go to Help > Check for Update.

If not, go to http://cic.nist.gov/vrml/cis2.html and follow the links
to download a copy.

Robert,
for some reason Version 8.0 does not like my FireFox 3.0.14 (F1-
translate and display). IE 7.0.5730 is fine.
Is it known issue?

I haven't seen that happen before.
What happens when you hit F1 or the Translate and Display button?
If you generate a summary file does that display?
How about upgrading to Firefox 3.5?

Find the Firefox executable and let me know what the "Date Modified"
time is associated with the file. That might have something to do
with it.

Hello, Robert.
On F1 button the second summary browser is not showing, it crashes on
the first one with VRML viewer.
Did update FF to 3.5, modified date: November 02, 2009. Got the same
results. Below is a report sent to Mozilla.
No Detailed options, no Other. Color is grey with White/Grey
background. Rendering: edge only.
No More VRML option and no error/warning messages in SteelVis window.
Still works great with IE.

Problem solved by upgrading FF Cortona VRML plug-in to the newest
Cortona 3D.
