We haven't done anything special to handle jobs but people want to post them.

For now I think we just need to post them within the group.  If anyone has an alternative please suggest it.

Thanks,

Mike

Volume has not been very high, so not a big deal to me atm, but I think a better alternative is to simply have a separate cinjug-jobs group/mailing list that interested parties can subscribe to.

I think long term having a specific job group is the way to go. That way people who want to read them can subscribe. It is a targeted list and you can unsubscribe once you find a job.

Personally I am looking for someone myself but I didn't want to post as I thought that would offend people. If you are interested in Java, Web Services, eCommerce, jQuery, Mobile, and much more, please contact me. I'd be happy to discuss the details with you off the list.

Would we be able to enforce a once a month limit per company? This way
consulting groups can post a link to multiple job openings without
flooding our inbox.

I don't see how that could be accomplished unless someone was willing to moderate the posts.

I think the separate list is the way to go. People then choose to see those kinds of posts. It is easy to police because anyone posting a job to the regular group could have their post deleted and multiple offenses could get them removed from the list.
