The crowd was small but mighty, we did raise some money, all of which
was donated to charity. Without you the comics that volunteered their
time, this show would not have happened at all.

Sherif Hedeyet was not able ot make it due to a cold, and he was
missed, but I do appreciate the spirit in which he donated his time.

Fox 19 News recorded part of the show and Interviews some of the
Comics. East Side Vibe was there to take Photos and write an article
about the event, so look for that in a few weeks.

This will not be the last Benefit. I want to carry on with this
concept, and gain a little momentum. The show last Tuesday went on
with no paid advertisements or promotions, It was totally word of
mouth.

I am pricing radio and TV time to see what the cost will be for
promoting the next show. I am also looking for some real sponsors,
like some Fortune 500 companies.

Mike Hemmelgarn tore up the stage, and proved that clean comedy can be
hilarious!

The show was a great success, in that we did not raise a million
dollars, but the family of Mr Nassar got to sit and laugh and forget
grief for an hour and a half. That was priceless.

Here is a copy of the email that I received from Linda Nassar:

Jonathan it was a true pleasure to finally meet you and your most
lovely wife. Lisa is a true sweet heart. I am so grateful to the
heavens above to have crossed your path. I felt so honored to have so
much love pore out of so many people. Your Indian friend broke my
heart. So many people and so much love was shared tonight. Our next
benefit will be better money wise but I felt a connection with the
crowd that was there. We were just a day and a dollar short with the
news coverage today. I have a good feeling the that the donations will
come pouring in. I am still going to sell raffle tickets and hope
to have a success with that. I know we exhausted some of your energy.
I am rallying to go on. I too champion a cause or two. You did a great
job organizing this benefit and the show was great. Yu are a showmen.
Please tell your group of friends and comedy people my heart goes out
the them and thank them for all of their work. My family had a very
good time and Nizar finally took a minute off of work. Big hugs and
many pats on the back to you Jonathan Dean. Linda Nassar.
