A friend and I kayaked from Wyatt's Ford to the 150 bridge at Goodfield yesterday (Sunday, February 7).  An adult pair of bald eagles and a large juvenile kept us company for the last four of those ten miles. Saw two American Kestrels and several other raptors I couldn't identify.

The water was COLD, as were my hands, but the sun was out and the wind was merciful. What a beautiful day.

And by the bye, we saw one pair of otter tracks at the put-out.
