to Central Illinois Birding
Hi fellow birders!
This morning, I found 46 Snow Geese and one Ross's Goose at El Paso
Sewage Treatment Center. About a third of the Snow Geese were dark
morphs (blue morphs), and there were dark morph and light morph (white
morph) juveniles. When I first saw them, they were at the top of the
hill so that they were visible from the road. The sky was bright blue
and the sun was shining on them so the lighting was very nice. I
noticed that one of the Snow Geese was smaller than the others, but I
ascertained from the bill that it was indeed a small Snow Goose. As I
already wrote, there was an actual Ross's Goose as well.
