Sandy and I set up a deer blind up on our bluff which overlooks the
river and the eagle nest. We now have great views with scope/binocs
and it's been very interesting to more closely observe their
behavior. The eagles are definitely still adding to the nest, and
continue to feed up there. It was cool to watch the female bring up a
fish to the male who was sitting in the nest. He had to wait until
she was done...it seemed like he wasn't too happy about it...very
interesting vocalizations could be heard. Late yesterday afternoon I
was sitting in the blind checking out the eagles, when a pair of our
resident Barred Owls started vocalizing a few trees away, and then the
coyotes started in with their music right at dusk. It was magical.
