Black-necked Stilts at Emiquon

While walking the south levee at Emiquon on Monday, I heard loud call from the cattails and then a group of about eight Black-necked Stilts came flying out of the grass. Most resettled out of view, but three followed me on my walk, circling over my head calling loudly. They also chased a Great Blue Heron out of the area. I've posted some photos on my blog, along with dragonfly photos. Lots of dragonflies out there.
