Subject: My Chrome extensions have stopped working

I have noticed that none of my Chrome extensions are working any longer.
Left-clicking on the extension buttons does nothing, although the
extensions start working properly again whenever I disable all extensions,
and then re-enable them. However, the extensions stop working again
whenever I restart Chrome.

This problem also seems to affect my Chrome installation on Windows as well
as on Ubuntu. Are any fixes or workarounds available for this issue?

In order to get helpful and useful replies you need to give all of the
information. Like chrome version, windows version, ubuntu version,
extensions and if you have updated all of them. Have you recently changed
anything that might have caused this? Do you sync profiles across them,
something like this happened when I had like 50+ extensions synced, I ended
up clearing the data from the google dashboard and starting with a new
slate (that might not be necessary tho)

Chrome Version 22.0.1229.94 m
Extensions: LastPass, Evernote (latest versions)
Windows 7
