I do know what some people are talking about .I have oftened wondered myself if I made the right choice moving in with someone who only thinks of himself and playing video games twenty four seven.At first everything was going ok but the more involved he got in to video games the more it seems he does not need me in his life because vidoe games takes up all of his time.He has even given up on seeing his parents on the weekend because he would rather stay home to play vidoe games.

You need to give him a choice, you or the game. Then give it to the Lord

Dear Kathy, My Sister in Christ (if you know Jesus in your heart),  I want to answer your message, even if this is a test message to see who I really am in Christ Jesus My Lord.  I am a new member of this Chistlife team. I have been looking for a way to be more active in witnessing for Christ. Thank you for this opportunity to say a word of encouragement to someone beginning a new life experience with Jesus or seeking to know Jesus Christ.  Jesus is faithful!  Go to Church with your friend or someone you know is a Christian.  I love going to Church and  I love singing in worship all the wonderful hyms and muscic of the church that glorifies my savior. I find it such a blessing to be with other Christian. If you don't have anyone then I would encourage you Kathy, or the person asking for this help to -check on the web and look for a Bible believing church in your neighborhood and begin attending faithfully every Sunday, even if your friend won't go.  Do make friends with the Pastor's wife or someone you become acquainted with there - someone you can confide in. Reading your Bible will help you to make good choices in your life. In the part called the New Testament, the book second book, - Mark or (3rd bk) John is a good place to start reading. The first part of Matthew will tell you about Jesus birth and early life, but I like Mark's way of telling the rest of 'the Jesus story' in such a powerful and forward and lively way.  Try these ways to find encouragement.  See if you can find a way to change your sisituation - maybe you need to do that. I am personally a part of a church that calls themselves Assembly of God - though they may have another name also on the front of the church. You are special to the Lord that is why God' Spirit is speaking to your heart. God loves you He has a happy life for you. I and He want you to find that Way!  IWILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU!  Please let us know how you are doing!

 

I was born into a Christian home, but learned I was a sinner and that needed to be saved.  I was saved during a vacation Bible class at a Holiness Church when I was just 9 years old.  At 12 years I was baptized in water and dared to believe that God would use me as a missionary some day. Though I drifted along for several years through hi school and just after, I know it truely was the Holy Spirit speaking to me, for I rededicated my life to God and to serve as a missionary= now 60 + years ago, and have served in  4 foreign countries and in Inter-city Ministry to people who are addicted to drug, alcholol and all kinds of poor people. Dear Osei, God bless you for opening a forum for discussion on spiritual matters. Attached, please find a book of a man of God, Watchman Knee. Take time to read it thoroughly. But for your immediate need read the book of Romans. To be in Christ is not enough. We are also commanded by the lord to be spiritual. This means not to do the lusts of the flesh; but to govern your life by the word of God. The Holy Spirit is your helper in this regard.
