According to the 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9, Jesus was supposed to be installed as the king of Israel. But the nation of Israel did not recognize him as King and instead they killed him.

My question is, what would have happened if Jesus was accepted and not killed, does it mean that we would not have been saved?

Please help me answer those questions.

God bless.

Karori.

That is exactly what it means. Jesus by His death took upon himself the full penalty of our sins. This could not have been done any other way. He bore the wrath you and I deserve. Also there was a point where the people went to make him King. John 6:14-15

14 After the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did, they began to say, "Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world." 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.
NIV

Jesus rejected this because he knew that God's will was the cross. This had been proclaimed since the fall of man. on up through the prophets. Jesus' first coming was to pay the penalty for sin. Make no mistake though He is more than a mere king, He is Lord.
