Ephesians 6:2 - "Honour thy father and mother; which is the first
commandment with promise;"
Paul also tells children to honor their parents, prior to discussing
God's armor. This is preparation for effective use of God's spiritual
armor.
Just as well behaved children are a joy and honor to their parents, so
are well behaved Christians a joy and honor to our Heavenly Father!
