HAS SANTA BEEN A VERY NAUGHTY BOY?

All is not well at the North Pole...

Vixen has accused Santa of lewd and 'un-Christmas-like' behaviour and, as the media descends, ‘the Eight’ come forward to tell their stories. In between tales from Comet’s dodgy past, Prancer’s dreams of super-stardom and Donner's tell-all confession, the reindeer deal with such questions as - what’s the deal with Rudolph? Why is Mrs Claus so bitter? And what actually happened in the toy workshop that night?

'The Eight: Reindeer Monologues' is an edgy Christmas comedy that is by turns witty, crass and poignant. It is also a timely story, says director Erin Harrington: “It’s a very funny piece of writing but it deals with serious issues, things that people live with every day, by asking us how we decide who is innocent and who is guilty when nothing seems black and white.”

Inventively staged in the University's ballroom, and featuring eight of Christchurch’s best young actors, world-wide comedy hit 'The Eight: Reindeer Monologues' is a refreshing alternative to your usual cute and cuddly holiday fare. Send it straight to the top of your Christmas wish-list.
