A group for readers of chingchong.com

The chingchong.com is an open community blog meaning that anyone can post articles to it.  Hopefully it will continue to be a fun way to find out more stuff about being Asian American.  In order to keep the spambots, etc from posting on chingchong.com there is just a little process to submit new articles or gain access to post them yourself.

This group was created mainly to help manage this process of adding new articles and new contributers to the chingchong.com.  This way it will be hopefully easier for more people to contribute and we'll have a more steady stream of articles to check out as well.  On the other hand, you're welcome to use this group to communicate generally with other chingchong.com readers but please remember to create appropriate Discussion Topics so people can configure whether or not they would like to be receive email about them.

To get started you first have to decide if you want to just post a single article or to get access to post your own articles.  Having someone else post your article for you maybe a little more convenient as you won't have to sign up for a blogger.com account, otherwise you might as well get access to post articles yourself.

[1] If you just want to post a single article post in the "Post This On Chingchong" discussion topic, along with any credit information (i.e. name, login, profile id, url, blog) so that one of the people with access to post articles can post it and credit you properly.  Getting credit for your posts is a great way to get a little exposure for your own blog or website, especially if your post/article is interesting enough that a log of people read it.

[2] If you would like to get your own access to post articles on chingchong blog yourself, first post your article in the "Give Me Access To Post On Chingchong" discussion topic.  Shortly after you post your article you should get an invite to access the chingchong blog to post your own articles.  Please then post the article you just posted in "Give Me Access To Post On Chingchong" onto the chingchong blog, in the future when you want to post to the chingchong.com blog you'll already have access to do so and can post directly.  Shortly after you've gained access to post on chingchong you should also see yourself get added to the "Contributers" list on the left column of the blog.  You may want to a add a little info about your self of links to your other blogs, etc in your blogger profile.

NOTE: After joining this group you may want to adjust the amount of email you get from this group by either turning off email all together using "Edit my membership" and set this to "No Email" or you can just turn of email on a topic by topic basis by clicking on the Discussion Topic and then clicking on "Options" in the Topic header.
