Hello everyone, nice to meet you all.

I am having trouble with keyboard shortcuts such as cmd+C and cmd+Z
when typing Chinese in Zhuyin mode. It seems like none of the
shortcuts that uses English letters works.

However, under Japanese input mode all of the shortcuts function
perfectly. My MBP has Japanese keyboard layout by the way.

Can someone tell me what's going on here? I have to switch back to
English input to use shortcuts and switch back to Zhuyin mode to
continue typing in Chinese...

Thank you for your help.

I don't have a Japanese keyboard, so I can't test this, but within
Zhuyin try hitting caps lock before you do the keyboard shortcuts.
That should turn the keyboard into English mode and might allow you to
type the shortcuts.

i actually did try that and it didn't work, but after seeing your post
i decided to give it another shot.

i started spamming random shortcut combination and one of them
actually worked!!!
it's cmd+shift+[key], which is the same as your caps lock idea,
but i am not sure why using caps locks doesn't work.

thank you so much for reply :)
