Gino and I were discussing the food situation for this weekend's trip. We are hoping to get some firewood dropped off and have a campfire we can cook over. What are other planning to bring so maybe we can coordinate utensils, pots and other items? I think a couple of us will need to leave early Sunday morning to get back for Mother's Day and other obligations. I'm thinking bagels and fruit (bananas, citrus) and coffee. I might have a big camping coffee perculator we can use for a big batch. I'll strap that thing on somewhere! I need my caffeine!!! Jeff
Gear: I'll be bringing my small cook set, stove, and coffee filter. Folks are welcome to heat water on my stove and use my coffee filter.
Food: Since a fire is likely, I'll probably bring a can of beans/rice and heat it up on the fire for dinner. Breakfast for me: bagel/coffee/citrus. Bananas and apples don't travel well...
Keep in mind there's also the store across the bridge, which has a selection of vile hot dogs and other light-heated "meat" products.
Bring insect repellent. The last S24O we did to Woodson, the mosquitoes were hot to trot.
Also, I reserved our site today ($18.50, which is $11 + $7.50 for their "reservation fee"). Somebody owes me beer! Our tent site accommodates up to 8 people.

Gear: I'll also bring my Pocket Rocket stove, fuel, the one titanium pot I have, and my coffee filter. Between Gino's stove and mine, we should be able to heat up enough water for everyone to enjoy a cup of joe or two with breakfast.
Food: I'll bring along a couple of pre-made rice/lentils packets from Trader Joe's because that's what I like and hopefully when I share it with you all, you'll like it to. Otherwise, I have a small soft cooler that we can pack full with any cold food items for dinner on Saturday night. I'm thinking kielbasa, aidell's sausage, or kosher hotdogs which I don't mind packing from Chico. I'm guessing they have buns at the store. I'll try and pick up some condiments for the dogs, like mustard, ketchup, mayo, and an onion to carry with unless someone knows if they have stuff like that at the store.
I'll bring some coffee (duh), oatmeal packages, powdered creamer, and some powdered hot chocolate for those who like the trailer-park mocha.
Gino, I have one bottle of Stone Brewery Ale that I've had stored since October for this very trip, I think it's the black IPA<http://www.stonebrew.com/11th/ale/>. I'll pick up some other beer at the store across the bridge when we make the run for buns and what not.
How many of us have RSVP'ed beyond Gino, Jeff, myself and Erik (a friend I'm bringing along)?

On another note, I saw a flyer down at North Rim that there will be a camping equipment swap on May 8th at CSUC. I tried to find info on it online but couldn't. If anyone knows anything or can get to NR to get the details, please get it out to the group so others may get some deals for our trips. JO
