Vina picnic ride: November 16th

Hi Folks -
The Twice-Annual Vina Winery pic-a-nic ride is taking place on Sunday,
November 16th. Rodney will be adding it to the calender of events.
How's it work?
We all show up at Euro Café, have a liesurely group ride to the winery
in Vina, have a picnic, taste some wine, and ride back to Chico. It's

This bit of Chico cycling history was just posted online. It is a Chico Velo program from the original Chico Classic Stage Race from 1984. Very interesting and chock full of cool Chico cycling history. It's 16MB so be patient when loading. BTW, Rodney said he actually raced in the Chico Classic in 1984 as a junior.

We could do Woodson or challenge ourselves and try for Cherry Hill. Heck of a climb but a great downhill home. My October is fairly open but has some reservations already made. If it's open, I'm a maybe. JO

Those dates look good to me. I can make Sunday dates, but not
Saturdays since I work till 4pm.

Chico cyclocross clinic this Sunday

There will be an informal cyclocross clinic led by a few local cross
racers this weekend. I have no idea how it will go, but hopefully some
experienced racers will share cross skills tips with newbies.
Time: 9am.
Location: One Mile, lower Bidwell Park
