Hi All,

This Colonial Williamsburg IF Kickstarter reminded me, does anyone work on Chicago historical IF?  It's what I'd like to build up to.  It'll be a while before I make anything good, but...it's the goal.  Also, I just got my copy of Aaron Reed's Inform 7 book, so I'm hoping to revise my first stab at Inform soon, with some bugs squashed and polish added.

You've played Peter's game, I hope?

Thank you! I assume we are talking about SLAP THAT FISH...

But seriously, not a lot of Chicago history in IF out there. I actually wrote 1893 because of Neil deMause's LOST NEW YORK, and I got all irritated that there was NY IF but no CHICAGO IF.

I roughed out a game about the Chicago fire as well that I never got to writing. It would arrive at a number of different potential endings, each being another speculative reason for the fire to start/spread. One day.

So I've spent the last two years working on a new musical about Chicago's Eastland disaster -- the script is some cool historical fiction, and my collaborator and I have written all the music.  I'm taking 5 weeks off from Google right now and am in rehearsal at Lookingglass 8 hours a day.  If you like historical fiction, y'all should come see the show in June and July:

(You guys know I moonlight as a musical theater composer, right?)

Yes, and I'm really looking forward to it. Saw the lookingglass' Fire play back in 1999 and enjoyed it but wasn't able to get my act together to see it again this time. But going to get tickets for the family for Eastland as soon as we land our summer vacation dates.

And speaking of historic plays saw DEATH AND HARRY HOUDINI recently, and it was fantastic. They are coming back for another run late summer and I recommend it highly.
