There are a few of ways to get what you want, but because kwal normally
output the whole tier and not just text selected with +/-s option you need
to be more specific about what exactly you want. Here is a small sample file

Hi,
Thank you so much for replying. Using your and suggestions did take me
coser to the goal, although I have not been entirely successful in
this. Indeed, the TalkBank version of the .cha files seems to be more
well formed, but it seems that there may be a problem still either
with the files or the chat2praat program.

Mor lexicon is not distributed with CLAN program. You need to download
the lexicon separately from URL:

After you unzip lexicon directory you can put in inside:
/wherever/unix-clan/lib/
So, for example "english" lexicon, should be located at:
/wherever/unix-clan/lib/englis h
