Little Scotty’s New Year’s Eve Show and Ball

Legendary Chicago Bluesman and Maxwell Street veteran/activist
Clarence ‘Little Scotty’ Scott will be producing and hosting Little
Scotty’s New Year’s Eve Show and Ball, on Tuesday, December 31, 2002
at the Arena, 4545 S. Western Avenue in Chicago.

Appearing at the Show and Ball will be Little Scotty singing such
favorites as Gimme What You Promised Me, Hot Dog, She Put The Hoo Doo
On The Hoo Doo Man, and High Heel Sneakers.  Also hosting will be M.C.
Chicken George.  Other musicians and singers include The Godfather
(with his latest release, The Town We Live In), Little Johnny Harper
(from Mississippi), Tom Valentine singing his latest hit (Lucille Are
You a Lesbian?), Jessie Lee Clay with his latest hit (Mom’s Apple
Pie), Marvin Levell (featuring a tribute to Marvin Gay), and special
guests Lady T with The Taildragger.

Says Steve Balkin, Vice President of the Maxwell Street Historic
Preservation Coalition, "Little Scotty is a great singer and showman
who has performed on the streets as well as in nightclubs.   He sings
with real punch and casts an authentic downhome Blues feeling.  He
cares for the public and fights for the disadvantaged in this city.  I
hope people will come to support him in his efforts to honor, promote,
and memorialize Chicago’s Blues and R and B scene."

Tickets are $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door.   Advance
tickets can be obtained at the Arena (773-843-0400), Alma’s Restaurant
on 43rd Street, Linda’s Lounge at 51st and Halsted, and Lee’s Unleaded
Blues at 7401 S. Chicago.
