First time ever over 300 days. The last time she was down she was up for
over 225 days when one of my idiot neighbors trimmed a tree branch that
took out the power for bunch of blocks. Not bad for a little PII 333Mhz
running the old Redhat 9 (not FC9) that I bought used for $15 on
chi.forsale 6 years ago.

I'd need an emergency generator to make 500 days... I think I had my
next box up for like 300 some odd days once upon a time. But lately
there is an hours long power failure about twice a year so Sun box I
currently use usually doesn't go for more than 6 months without me
shutting it down before the UPS batteries run out of juice or just goes
down when they do if I'm not around.

I bought a few, Mom is still running win98 on hers, but is always
filling up her 2 gig drive with email attachments...

I use one as a network sniffer. Very low power machine, doesn't
even have a CPU fan!
