April 12-14, 2013 -- The fragrance of cherry blossoms
isn't all that's in the air in DC.

By Wayne Madsen of the Wayne Madsen Report.

Washington is crawling with tourists eager to make the
annual pilgrimage to the cherry blossoms along the Potomac
and Tidal Basin. However, the sweet smell of the blossoms
isn't all that's in the air in Washington, DC. There's a
pesky rumor concerning President Obama's health traveling
around the nation's capital at word-of-mouth speed.

On April 2, as the White House and Congress flexed their
muscles over cuts to Social Security and Medicare, sequestration,
austerity, Obama shocked the press and Congress by unveiling
the $100 million Brain Research Through Advancing Innovative
Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) project to map the human brain.
As Obama was putting the finishing touches on cuts to Social
Security and Medicare for Americans already experiencing
sequestration cuts for cancer treatment, he pulls brain
mapping literally out of a hat to the bewilderment of many.

In proposing the BRAIN project, Obama said, "As humans,
we can identify galaxies light years away. We can study
particles smaller than an atom. But we still haven’t
unlocked the mystery of the three pounds of matter
that sits between our ears."

However, the rumor of a tumor is wafting around Washington.
That is, the incredibly vain Obama wants to find a cure for
brain cancer because he has been diagnosed with a malignant
tumor. The evidence mainly cited involves the president's
faltering basketball game.

The day before his BRAIN announcement, Obama, who fancies
himself as a pretty good basketball player, missed 20 of 22
basketball shots in front of children participating in the
annual White House Easter egg roll. It was an unusually
abysmal public performance. However, WMR learned that Obama's
game in private sessions has also deteriorated with missed shots,
faulty balance that sometimes requires Secret Service agent
assistance, and complaints of blurred vision.

Medical professionals have told WMR that Obama's problems
could be the result of a number of medical issues. However,
the announcement of a $100 million brain project during
tough economic times has fed the rumor mill that Obama
is suffering from the early symptoms usually associated
with a brain tumor. Doctors say that the next stage, if,
in fact, the rumors are true, will be a noticeable shaking
in the hands. If that were to occur, the White House press
officials will limit "B roll" footage of Obama and require
close up camera shots that hide the president's hands.

Ironically, in August 2009, a fundamentalist Arizona preacher
named Steve Anderson received a Secret Service visit after
he stated the following in his sermon: "I hope that God
strikes Obama with brain cancer so he can die like Ted Kennedy.
You know, and I hope it happens today."

The rumor about a presidential tumor is weak on details,
including how long the situation has existed. However,
in July 2010, Obama surprised 13-year old Justin Friedlander,
a cancerous brain tumor sufferer and avid basketball player
who was visiting the Oval Office as part of an event
sponsored by the National Brain Tumor Society's Justin's Quest.
During the meeting with the boy, his three brothers, and
parents, Obama took off his jacket and invited the
13-year old and his brothers to shoot hoops on the
presidential court. Obama sank his first shot
during that event.

In many cases throughout history, presidential health
has been considered a state secret. President Franklin
D. Roosevelt's paralysis from polio was a carefully
guarded secret as was Woodrow Wilson's debilitating
paralysis after he suffered a massive stroke. Likewise,
President John F. Kenndy's Addison's disease was held
from the public as was President Ronald Reagan's
Alzheimer's disease, developed while he was still in office.
