  Well, &lt;br&gt; I&#39;m in the UK, but I don&#39;t see why there shouldn&#39;t be somewhere in the &lt;br&gt; US that does hold contests. Either another group or maybe a US &lt;br&gt; chapter of the same organisation?   I would say to do 5 reps for 3 sets per exercise, and work up to 20 &lt;br&gt; reps for 5 sets, and then add a strand and go back down to the 5 reps.

  Sorry I didn&#39;t reply a bit quicker to this one. My computer blew up (well &lt;br&gt; went &#39;pop&#39; &amp;amp; started smoking!). &lt;br&gt; I&#39;ve yet to receive any magazines from them or any other information. &lt;br&gt; Hopefully I haven&#39;t been lost in the shuffle! &lt;br&gt; I&#39;ve been in contact with David Gentle (old time strength collector &amp;amp; writer &lt;br&gt; in bodybuilding magazines) &amp;amp; he sent me a picture of his Sandow collection.

My &lt;br&gt; question was should I do lunges, and calf raises with a 50 pound &lt;br&gt; dumbell in each hand, IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN BONE DENSITY IN THE LEGS, &lt;br&gt; not in order to workout the muscles. I have 10 years of experience with &lt;br&gt; cable, and am 50, but the question was for the bones, not the muscles.

  I am 56 with 28 years experience with cable. I advise using them 6 days &lt;br&gt; a week doing one set of 20 reps per exercise. You do recover faster &lt;br&gt; with strands.
