Hi folks,
This is my first message to the list. I've been using cherrypy for
quite some time now, but always through turbogears 1. The cherrypy
version that is supported by tg1 is 2.3.0 so this is the version I've
been using, until now with python 2.5.
Now I've switched to python 2.6 and since tg1 still requires cherrypy
2.3.0 and nothing beyond it works, I'm stuck with 2.3.0. And there are
a couple of deprecation warnings in cherrypy 2.3.0 coming from python
2.6, all of which are sha and md5 related:
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/CherryPy-2.3.0-py2.6.egg/cherrypy/lib/cptools.py:3:
DeprecationWarning: the md5 module is deprecated; use hashlib instead
import md5
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/CherryPy-2.3.0-py2.6.egg/cherrypy/filters/sessionfilter.py:33:
DeprecationWarning: the sha module is deprecated; use the hashlib
module instead
import sha
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/CherryPy-2.3.0-py2.6.egg/cherrypy/lib/cptools.py:3:
DeprecationWarning: the md5 module is deprecated; use hashlib instead
import md5
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/CherryPy-2.3.0-py2.6.egg/cherrypy/filters/sessionfilter.py:33:
DeprecationWarning: the sha module is deprecated; use the hashlib
module instead
import sha
I'd be more than happy to submit patches against cherrypy 2.3.0 that
would fix these.
Would such patches be accepted and would a cherrypy 2.3.1 version be released?
Cheers,
Daniel
