I happen to only have Python 2.4 on an box with an old Debian distro
on it. I noticed that while cherry 3.2.2 docs say it reauires python
2.5, however the helloworld sample app seems to run. Anyone have any
experience running cherry 3.2.2 on 2.4? or know what features will
not work? Or what was added that bumped the python version
requirement?

(I know I should probably just bit the bullet and upgrade debian
distro on that box.. and python version ;) ).

Sometime upgrading the python on the box will break applications and utilities in the distribution.

Safer to do an "altinstall" which will install the later version in parallel with the original - the only real difference is that you will have to type "python2.7" or whatever, instead of just "python"...

You will have to install cherrypy under python2.7 for that to work mind...
