Cut Footloose Saturdays at Webbs

One upon a time, after the evening programming at the amphitheater, some Chautauquans would take a jaunt up the road and go dancing. But somehow, over the last 15-years-or-so, we've turned into that town in the movie Footloose, and all-but banned dancing at night. A concerned group of citizens who believe that a healthy nightlife is part of a healthy resort have teamed up and will be trying to rekindle the spirit of Chautauqua past and lakeside late-night dancing. As well as a tradition that spanned many generations of Chautauquans who went out at night, Halloween in August. Please join us, see old friends, make new, and get a little boogie in your behind this summer. Cheers.
