- Please note that the 12:30 Garden Walk on Friday with Betsy Burgeson meets at the Butterfly Garden (By the South Gate). The Daily listed the location incorrectly.
- Also Friday , please join us for a Nature Walk with Jack Gulvin at 9 a.m. This meets at the Smith Wilkes Hall patio.
- For those that want a really unique adventure, please join us Sunday, August 6 off site at the Subagh Preserve for a Forest Walk from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. https://www.chautauquabtg.org/
This walk is co-sponsored by the Foundation for Sustainable Forests (FSF), which owns and manages the land. The property was donated to the Foundation for Sustainable Forests in 2022 by Chautauquans Subagh Singh Khalsa and Linda Winkelstern to forever protect the land as a healthy, working forest. Cassie Ziegler from the National Aviary will lead us on a walk through the forest explaining how active management can improve bird diversity and habitat.
We will caravan and carpool to the preserve, which is only 3 miles from Chautauqua.
There is parking available off Moore Road, 400 feet west of the intersection with Hewes Rd. Mayville, NY 14757.
Limited to 15 participants plus a few guests from FSF. You do not need to be a Life Member to join us on this event. $10 per person--see the BTG Website for details.
