Do you know if you take a stray animal to the Sanford Animal Shelter in Lee County they EUTHANIZE them in 3 days? Yes it is a fact! This was verified with a phone call to the shelter.
If you no longer want your animal, they EUTHANIZE them within 24 hours.
What this means is that animal has no chance to be found or adopted. This is not right!
What if you are gone on vacation and return to find your animal got out.
Sanford Animal Shelter will KILL them in 3 days.
Something is wrong with this picture. I thought people whom work at the shelters love animals.
Apparently not! They need to change the rules. I know of no other shelter that does this so fast.
Do NOT take a stray to Sanford Animal Shelter. Please take the found animal to another shelter if you need too.
