I hope everyone can attend the Charlotte ALT.NET meeting next Thursday, June 4th. I have seen Richard Hipp speak before and he is an excellent presenter. Not only will he speak about SQLite specifically, but touches on a few general database concepts too.

SQLite is unique in the that it is licensed Public Domain. It's size, speed, ease of use, and feature set make it perfect choice when looking for an embedded database. Unlike some other alternatives, SQLite databases are much more portable between operating systems and devices.
