Alright, y'all, it's fess time again. Bayou Boogaloo is happening this Friday through Sunday, May 17-19, and if you're going, you know you should leave the coolers at home (as well as any homemade rafts covered in drunk dudes). Sure, the music festival on the banks of the Bayou St. John is free, but that doesn't mean anyone should make it even freer by not spending money on food and booze.

The Bayou Boogaloo is stepping up their game with more food vendors and offerings this year— new additions include Rio Mar, Good Karma Prassad Cafe, Canal Street Bistro, and Bratz Y'all. Also, Slow Food Nola and Slow Food International will have a tent at the festival and hold cooking demos and story-telling about local food and Southern culture.

Since the Boogaloo is all about being eco-friendly, after the jump you'll find a list of where to eat within walking/biking distance of the festival, as well as the cooking demo line up for Saturday and Sunday, and further reading from the Times-Pic, My Spilt Milk, and more.
