Subject: Ippimail
Hi,

I just stumbled over this groub this evening...

I wanted to make you all aware of http://www.ippimail.com .

We are a Social Enterprise based in the Uk.

Ippimail is an opportunity for any charity, worldwide, to raise funds
through encouraging your suppoters to use our email service.

There is no cash cost to a charity signing up but we do ask you to link
to us from your site and encourage your existing supporters to support
you through us.

This is our blurb:

HOW DOES IPPIMAIL WORK?

Ippimail is essentially an internet-based email service provider, like
Hotmail. However, Ippimail is different. It is a social enterprise and
one of the key aspects of it's ethos is about raising funds for
charities. It does this by allowing its users to support a charity or
charities of their choice, without spending their own money. Users of
Ippimail complete an online questionnaire. They subsequently see
targeted advertising either as a banner in the conventional way on our
website or as a small text message embedded in their forwarded mail.
There is NO additional or junk mail generated by Ippimail itself and
every effort is taken to reduce SPAM. (Please note that the
questionnaire is currently being market-tested).

Charities will receive 15% of the income generated by Ippimail or 45%
of profits - whichever is greater. This will be distributed amongst the
charities/ good causes, being proportionate to the number of users who
have chosen to support particular charities or good causes.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO CHARITIES?

Ippimail provides charities with the following:

 - An entirely NEW source of fundraising income that does not interfere
with your other fundraising endeavors
 - A way to get to recruit new supporters
 - An additional way to communicate with supporters (via the
charities/good causes pages)

On the website, there is a 'tour' button to click on to which gives
further details about the benefits to voluntary organisations of
joining Ippimail.

 <http://www.ippimail.com>

WHAT DOES THE CHARITY HAVE TO DO IN RETURN?

Again, Ippimail makes no charge to charities who get involved.
Charities who agree to join Ippimail will be asked to promote Ippimail
to their users, via their main website, newsletters and other regular
communications.

I am not subscribed to the list but feel free to email me with
questions at simonmartin[at]ippimail.com . I'll try to keep up with the
list as well.

Take a look around the site and help us spread the word.

Sincerely

Simon Martin
