Chaplin Volunteer Fire Department open house, Diana's Pool & mural dedication.

Saturday, Oct. 4, the CVFD will be holding an open house and food
drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is part of National Fire
Prevention Week. Tours and demonstrations will take place and free
refreshments will be provided. The food drive is to benefit the the
town's food closet which is presently empty.

CL&P Public Hearing

Palmer Road bridge & CL&P transmission line upgrade

Its hard to believe that next weekend is Labor Day. Where did the
summer go?
School starts tomorrow, Aug. 27. This noon, I watched Steve, our
highway dept. foreman, open up the new Palmer Road bridge. Just in
the nick of time for our school buses. Take a ride and check it out.
