Subject: [Wanted] GIS files for Zambia and Malawi enumeration areas

Colleagues,

Our team at IFPRI is working on a project that requires access to admin
area boundary files at the most highly disaggregated level, ideally
enumeration areas for Zambia (and soon for Malawi). While we proceed to
track these down through formal channels, does anybody have access to any
GIS boundary files at that level of resolution that could help us get a
head start? I suspect that any such delineation produced even in the past
10-15 year might be good enough for us to start with.

We would not be publishing or sharing the files, rather using it as a mask
to extract/aggregate other variables.

Many thanks,
Stan & Co.

For NGOs, Google has been quite generous with their 'Mapmaker' data, as per:
http://support.google.com/mapmaker/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=155415

(Google people on this list care to comment..?)
