change plugin and keep from refreshing

Is there a way to do this? Trying to use the uploadableFiles plugin,
but it keeps putting back slashes between directories (I'm in a *nix
environment so that doesn't work), I fix and when the page refreshes
it trashes all my changes, but if I remove the zip file it just
trashes the folder.

Is there a no refresh plugin option for wheels?
