Hi all,

Don't know if this is a CFEclipse problem or an Ubuntu problem, but the
whole Team -> functionality has completely stopped working now after my
recent update. Is there something I can do to repair it, or to find out
where the problems is coming from? What's happening now is that I try to
commit something to the repository and Eclipse just dies, vanishing
instantly. Then when I reload CFE and try committing again, I get an
error "attempted to lock an already-locked dir".

Any help here would be appreciated.

The first thing you could try is to perform a cleanup on the project. Right click the top level project folder and choose team>cleanup .

Hope this helps

You should also try starting eclipse with the -clean option.

And do you use the command line svn client as well, or do you do it
purely through eclipse? (some clients aren't exactly compatible)

I'm actually running on Ubuntu 9.10 as I type :)

My slightly educated guess is that you have the wrong version of the
subclipse. With 9.10 they updated the svn package to v1.6+ so you will
need to change your update site in eclipse to point to the proper
subclipse update site.
