An oncologist brother (Dr.Saaib) has been diagnosed with advanced Melanoma . Dr. Saaib earned his specialty certificate in Oncology from Nebraska Medical Center. It's our turn to offer help and support to save his life.    

What we need is:

1. Your donation to purchase Zelboraf. For donation, please access the Islamic Center of Omaha web-page http://www.icomaha.org/ or contact Sister Lubna Hussein (lobnah...@gmail.com) or brother Adnan Syed (adnan...@cox.net)
2. An oncologist to provide free samples of Zelboraf and to offer her/his help to get discounts. The specialist physician might have a strong connection to get free samples and/or a good discount.
3. A passenger traveling to Syria as the first option or to Jordan, Egypt, Emirates to carry the medicine.

As many of you know, our brother Dr. Saaib from Syria, who used to live here, is very sick and he needs the community's help and prayers. He is diagnosed with advanced Melanoma. The medicine is really expensive and we are trying to collect money to buy the medicine and send it to him in Syria. He is on Zelboraf which is very expensive and as all of you know that he is not covered and we have to pay full price.
Brother Saaib served the community for several years, participated in many fundraising events,and collected money for the ICO. He has contributed so much with his time and money to the community and its our turn to step up and help him through his illness. Donations will be collected within the next two weeks by Hesham Basma and Lobna Hussein. After the money is collected, it wil be handed over to brother Adnan who will buy the medicine and send it to Syria. We would also like to know if anyone will be traveling to Syria in the near future. Please keep brother Saaeb in your prayers. Thank you, and may Allah bless our community.
