Hi John.
That server version come with its own backup software all you need is a USB
disk large enough to do a complete backup, when you go through the process
you can schedule a regular daily/weekly backup, the software will configure
the USB disk and once formatted you will not be able to use it for other
storage

Have fun

Val

> Hi, We've just got our new server running and going well so
far....But I was just thinking if we should back it up to an external
hard-drive or something so that if something happens we won't have to start
from scratch. The content wouldn't be the main thing but the
settings/permissions/users/etc would be the important stuff for us to back
up.Does anyone know a simple and inexpensive way to do this?We running a
windows 2008 r2 standard server.Thanks in advance.John
