CESI Galway GatheringOn Monday March 30th, the recently formed Galway branch of CESI had its third meeting of the year. In response to a survey of members needs carried out at the inaugural gathering, the theme for the evening was "Creating a Web Presence".
Guest speaker was CESI executive member Enda Donlon who gave a perfect pitched overview of the various options open to teachers wishing to dip their toes in this area. A particular emphasis was placed on the recently launched Scoilnet Blogs which, as demonstrated by Enda, provides a much needed efficient service to those wishing to make use of the Web for teaching and learning.
The Galway branch greatly appreciate Enda's work in delivering such a professional, well prepared presentation and in making the long trip west.
CESI, founded in 1973, promotes the use of ICT in Education at all levels in the Irish Education System. It is a voluntary body that draws its members from primary, post-primary and third-level teachers.
