Hi,

I notice recently that I've started getting SPAM from this email address:

_Free Server Offer <sch...@itsystems.ie>

which appears to be someone on this list. In fairness, there is an
"unsubscribe" link, but I never subscribed and if posting to this list
starts automatically getting me new spam, then this list will start to
appear less attractive.

Perhaps it's just me? As many on the list are teachers, I doubt many of
them would countenance rewarding such bad behaviour.

Since the address 'brendan+...@zen.org' exists only for this
mailing list, the sender is either on this list or at least was fed by
the address book of someone on it.

Hi All,
We have recently employed a new marketing person and as part of their
role they requested that mails we have sent or received related to
education be used to keep our existing education clients informed of new
offers and services we are providing to schools. Unfortunately this
would have included mails I received recently from CESI List. It was
not our intention to send spam to any of the members of the list but to
keep our existing clients informed. I have asked our marketing team to
remove any email addresses related to this immediately. Apologies is we
have caused any inconvenience to anyone.

Kind regards

David Dalton
Managing Director
IT Systems Ltd

Your marketing team ignored me when I asked where they had found my
address. It was the second email I received from you (the other titled
"Projector + Computer") and the second time you ignored me when I
asked where you had harvested my address. The first email had no
unsubscribe link -- illegal, I believe.

Brian.

Hi David,

despite your assurances, I've just received yet another SPAM from your
marketing department:

"An end of School Term offer from IT Systems that can’t be ignored"
