Hi All,
Adding this in for a colleague who works in Internet Safety:
Hi JP,
There are 3 downloadable lesson plans on cyberbullying (with Teachers’ Notes) in the SPHE booklet Be Safe Be Webwise http://www.webwise.ie/article.aspx?id=8664 Teaching about the AUP and Responsible Use is covered in Topic 1 ‘Secret Codes.’ SPHE teachers probably have copy of the booklet or can get one from www.sphe.ie.
Teaching about cyberbullying featured this week on Webwise http://www.webwise.ie/article.aspx?id=14123 for Safer Internet Day, 7th Feb

Folks, I did an free online course in AI last autumn with Professor Sebastion Thrun of Stanford.
The course was very good, and about 22,000 student completed it.
Professor Thrun has now joined a new startup company , who are offering two courses one in developing the program for an autonomous, self driving robotic car and the second in building a search engine.
I think either of these course would be a great project for a TY student, or would be great for someone looking to increse or brush up their computer knowlege.
I have enrolled in the build a search engine course, which aims to teach complete beginners computer programing in seven weeks.
I'm doing so to brush up my programming skills, to posibly learn a new programming language and to learn about programming interfaces to the web.
I'm passing this information on as I fell it may be of interest to other members of the CESI comunity.
The web site is here:
and I would invite you to at least view the introductory video, which includes a recomendation by one of the founders of Google.
All the best
